Neck lift in the Czech Republic

What is neck lift?
During a neck lift the surgeon removes loose, sagging skin and any excess fat tissue in the neck area. A number of surgical methods exist for tightening the skin in the neck. Often the neck lift involves an incision behind the ears, conveniently hiding the scar in the hair. A small incision under the chin may be appropriate in other cases.
Neck lift can usually be performed under local or general anaesthesia. The nature and scope of the procedure differ based on each patient’s indications.
Smoothing the neck and face
For best results, surgeons often lift the skin and subcutaneous tissues in the face as well, in a facelift or MyFacelift procedure. This combination offers a particularly realistic effect, giving the face and neck a naturally youthful appearance. The procedure can also be combined with eyelid operation (blepharoplasty), liposuction or other procedures.

What to expect
Before the surgery
For two weeks before the operation avoid aspirin and other blood thinners. Minimise alcohol consumption and smoking for a few days before the procedure. Ideally you should stop smoking completely.
During the surgery
Neck lift is typically performed under general anaesthesia, although sometimes local anaesthesia is also possible. General anaesthesia requires a one-day stay at the clinic depending on scope. The anaesthesiologist remains present during the entire procedure. You can take a sedative before the procedure begins, if you wish.
Post-operation
You may experience temporary swelling, lack of sensation or tightness in the skin of the face and neck. We recommend spending the first days after the surgery lying down with your torso propped up. Cold packs to the operation sites are also important. You can return to ordinary activities about two weeks after your neck lift. More strenuous physical activity should wait four to six weeks after the treatment.
Just-in-case insurance
The risk of complications arising during or after the procedure is very low. Choosing the right surgeon with our help is the best thing you can do to get excellent results. Still, no surgeon in the world can guarantee no complications will ever occur. Taking out insurance on an operation is a logical step, and more and more patients today are choosing to insure their aesthetic operation. We will be glad to help you with that as well. Just say the word.
