Sewing the ears together takes about 1 to 2 hours and the patient will go home immediately after. It is usually performed only under a local anesthesia. You should avoid strenuous physical activity in the early days. A special compression bandage must be worn for about a week. If the surgeon does not select self-absorbing sutures, they are removed after 7 to 10 days. However, you should wear a headband for a few weeks, especially when you are sleeping and lying down to support the best possible result of the operation.
