What is MyFacelift?
MyFacelift is a modern facelift method done as an outpatient procedure under local anaesthesia. You can expect highly natural-looking results, as the skin is not stretched to the sides. Instead, the surgeon raises the skin and subcutaneous tissues vertically and removes excess skin. This lifts the corners of the mouth, tightens contours and smooths out deep-set wrinkles. What to expect
1.Before the operation
For two weeks before the procedure avoid aspirin and other blood thinners. Minimise alcohol consumption and smoking for a few days before the procedure. Ideally you should stop smoking completely.
2.During the operation
MyFacelift takes place under local anaesthesia as an outpatient procedure. It does not require an inpatient stay at the clinic, although the length of the stay will depend on scope. You can take a sedative before the procedure begins, if you wish.
3.Post-operation
Minor swelling may appear after the procedure, but it should disappear relatively quickly. Tissue adhesive should keep the swelling to a minimum. We recommend using cold compresses to speed up the healing process. Swelling usually subsides within seven to 10 days. Patients should avoid physical activity for three to five days. Ordinary activities can resume after one week.
