What is fat transfer buttocks augmentation?
Also known as the Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), fat transfer buttocks augmentation is a procedure in which a plastic surgeon performs liposuction to remove fat from certain parts of the body (such as the abdomen or thighs) and uses it to enhance the buttocks. The primary benefit of this technique is that it does not require any long incisions or foreign objects (implants) that could cause problems in a few years. What to expect
1.Before the operation
For two weeks before the operation avoid aspirin and other blood thinners. Discontinue hormonal contraception at least three weeks before the operation. Minimise alcohol consumption and smoking for a few days before the procedure. Ideally you should stop smoking completely.
2.During the operation
Buttocks augmentation requires a one-day stay at the clinic and takes place under general anaesthesia. You can take a sedative before the procedure begins, if you wish. The anaesthesiologist remains present during the entire procedure. The surgeon suctions fat from the chosen locations and then cleans it to remove any impurities before re-applying it to the buttocks through special cannulas.
3.Post-operation
You may experience extensive bruising on the buttocks, but this should subside after about two weeks. This method is less painful than implants and also requires a shorter recovery period. You will need to wear a compression garment for four weeks to improve healing. The surgeon will also recommend sleeping on your front for several weeks.

How long do I have to wait to see the final results?
Your stable results usually appear within three to six months. About 30-40% of the fat will re-absorb over time, leaving 60-70% behind on average. It is impossible to predict the exact percentage that will be absorbed. Sometimes an additional transfer needs to be made to achieve the desired results. Following all the surgeon’s recommendations is the best way to make sure you heal well, get the results you want and have them last as long as possible.
