Is the second surgery more difficult than the first one?
Slightly. The surgery is more difficult because the nasal tissue is changed and scarred after previous rhinoplasty.
When can I start to do the sport?
Whether it’s exercise, strength training or cleaning we do recommend waiting about 1 to 2 months. It is very important to protect the nose. In the first months after the surgery, even a small wound or impact can spoil the result. You should reduce martial arts, boxing and other activities where there is a risk for 6 to 12 months. Your surgeon will give you the exact instructions.
When is the appearance of the nose final after surgery?
It takes up to 12 months for the nose to heal completely. Therefore, you can assess the aesthetic and functional effect of the surgery only after this time has elapsed. A further operation can be performed after one year.
What is the ideal age for nose surgery?
The ideal age is after the end of growth and overall development of the organism in puberty. Within boys around the age of 18 to 20 and in girls after the age of 18.
Will the nose hurt after plastic surgery?
Although bruising will occur after the procedure, the nose does’ot hurt at all during healing. Patients tend to feel discomfort due to difficulty breathing due to swelling.
How long does it take for the nose to heal after the surgery?
The hardest will be the first 2 days after the surgery because the patient will have tamponades in his nose and can only breathe through his mouth. Due to swelling and the presence of mucus it may be difficult to breathe over the next few days after surgery. Due to temperature changes the nose may turn red.
When can I get back to work?
Plan your annual leave for 2 to 3 weeks. If you work in a dusty environment with chemicals or you have physically demanding work, take even longer such as 3-4 weeks.
