Facelift in the Czech Republic
POPTAT NEJLEPŠÍHO LÉKAŘEA more youthful smile
What is a facelift?
Facelift is a surgical procedure that primarily focuses on tightening and firming the skin, including deep structures around the middle of the face and lower jaw. Sagging, loose skin on the face causes wrinkles and fine lines. A facelift can correct this problem and give the face more youthful and healthy appearance.
Smoothing the face and neck
Facelift essentially means smoothing out the middle and lower parts of the face. Sometimes the best results require a more extensive procedure involving correction of the skin on the neck at the same time, known as a neck lift. Removing loose skin and any excess fat and tightening the subcutaneous tissue in the area gives an extraordinarily natural-looking effect. In addition to neck lift, this procedure can also be combined with other corrections to the face such as blepharoplasty (eyelids) or liposuction.

What to expect
Before the surgery
For two weeks before the treatment avoid aspirin and other blood thinners. Minimise alcohol consumption and smoking for a few days before the procedure. Ideally you should stop smoking completely.
During the surgery
Facelift takes place under full anaesthesia. It requires a one to three-day stay at the clinic depending on scope. The anaesthesiologist remains present during the entire procedure. You can take a sedative before the procedure begins, if you wish.
Post-operation
You may experience temporary swelling, lack of sensation or tightness in the skin of the face and neck. We do recommend spending the first days after the surgery lying down with your torso propped up. Cold packs to the surgery sites is also important. Facelift patients can usually return to ordinary activities after two to three weeks. More strenuous physical activity should wait four to eight weeks after the treatment.
Just-in-case insurance
The risk of complications arising during or after the procedure is very low. Choosing the right surgeon with our help is the best thing you can do to get excellent results. Still, no surgeon in the world can guarantee no complications will ever occur. Taking out insurance on an operation is a logical step, and more and more patients today are choosing to insure their aesthetic operation. We will be glad to help you with that as well. Just say the word.

This procedure has no age limit, so it will mainly depend on the client’s health and physical condition.
Facelift is a time-consuming procedure and patients should be in good health beforehand. The scope of the procedure depends on what changes you would like the surgeon to make. The incision usually goes from in front of the ear to under the ear. It may continue downwards into the hairline, especially if the lower jaw and neck also need tightening to achieve good results.
The results are usually long-term and no more effective method of rejuvenating the face currently exists. It is important to remember, however, that we cannot stop the ageing process entirely and physical changes may appear after some time. Following all the surgeon’s recommendations is the best way to make sure you heal well, get the results you want and have them last as long as possible.
